The bath is designed for Kinematic Viscosity measurements to the stringent requirements of IP and ASTM standards. The tank is manufactured from stainless steel with a stove enamelled outer case and is fitted with double glazed windows front and rear. The outer plate glass windows are removable for easy cleaning. The bath is entirely free from obstructions for good visibility of the viscometers as the circulator and the controls are housed in a separate compartment at the side. A specially designed support lid will hold up to eight viscometer holders that can be individually levelled. The lid and viscometer holders have to be ordered separately. Coarse and fine controls ensure precise temperature adjustment with reference to a thermometer in the bath. There are separate controls for automatic and manual operation of the boost heater, setting the required amount of permanent heating and the safety cut out temperature. A separate cooling unit is required for temperatures less than ambient +10 °C.
